Merstham
1a.WEBSITE :Fairly regularly updated site, but after e-mailing two directors over pricing, I never received a reply. 2/5
1b.FORUM : Small forum, not used by many, but used often 3/5
2.GROUND : Home directors wanted game off because of earlier rain, so it was a little soggy, nothing like the pitches of old though. Ground had a cover behind one goal and another cover slightly off centre behind other goal, and a very tidy if small all seater stand on the halfway line 7/10
3.PARKING : About 15 spaces in offical car park, we parked in the library next door 4/10
4.ADMISSION :£8 Adults, £5 concessions, but did get Archie in for free (I was worried at one stage i would have to pay a £5 for him) 6/10
5.CUISINE : Burger a bit bland, but the chips were nice and crispy 6/10
6.BAR : Large bar with Sky Sports news, lady serving was very friendly, looking after Archie's coke until half time 8/10
7.TOILETS :In bar and inside ground, both clean if a bit on the small side .Only 2 cubicles in the ground 6/10
8.PROGRAMME :£2 Colourful, but apart from home reports not a lot else. Expensive for what it was 5/10
9.CLUB SHOP : Small compact shop selling the usual local goods 8/10
10. LOCALS :Strange mix. The chairman handing out sweets was a plus, then some little oiks behind the goal, giving some unsporting comments to the vocal away support, which deserved a good clip around the ear. 5/10
OVERALL IMPRESSION.
Tidy ground, pleasent staff in bar and at the burger stand, spoiled by some chavvy kids, who even though were put in their place by the home goalkeeper, still abused some of our older travelling support.
