.CONDITIONS : A cool evening, with Venus smiling upon us,the pitch though looked a little tired, with plenty of sand on it. 6/10
.GROUND : One excellent new stand, with cover behind one goal and along the side,it did though have a ‘metal box’ feel about it,so 7.5/10 (for the stand)
.PARKING : Could seriously do with a tarmac,and if the club’s got ambitions,larger 5/10
.ADMISSION : £8 Adults,£4 kids, again well overpriced for kids at this level. 4/10
.CUISINE : Did’nt sample any,but plenty of people eating,so on this basis 7/10
.BAR : Very nice bar, plenty of seating and sky sports,Guinness only £2.60 9/10
.TOILETS : Both, I visited were clean and stocked with the essentials 8/10
.PROGRAMME : £2. Excellent.Worthy of a league side with a funny article called’Things you see and hear at a non league ground’ so, even at £2 will give top marks 10/10
.CLUB SHOP : Closed….But I was after a badge and the attendant could’nt find the key.He is though (through a friend) sending a badge on,so 0/10 but 8/10 for effort.
.MAN OF THE MATCH : This is tough as everyone battled hard,so,I will plump for Sam Denly,a rock in defence 9/10
.THE LOCALS : The half a dozen with the drum behind the goal gave it a bit of atmosphere, but there were also one or two who made some nasty mutterings as they walked past us. 8/10 for the crowd behind the goal, nothing for the couple of numpties.
.REFEREE : Mr Bentley had a solid game, pity about the lino who and wrongly gave Pully offside.
.PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS : The tannoy playing ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ after they had lost. Good sense of humour.
