The Travelling Oysterman

1.CONDITIONS : A cool evening,with Venus smiling upon us,again.The home groundsman did remarkable well to get the game on. 8/10 

2.GROUND : Apart from one ‘main stand’ there was no other cover’.Disappointing 5/10 

3.PARKING : Had two overflow car parks,so,no problem here. 8/10 

4.ADMISSION : £8 Adults,£4 seniors £2 kids, price on the kids saved the day here. 6/10 

5.CUISINE : Plenty on offer bacon rolls,burgers,chips (even with curry sauce),top grub,(same as last year) 9/10 

6.BAR : Very nice bar,plenty of seating and sky sports,£2.50 pint lager,friendly staff,even had loan of the darts(see later) and,sold wrapped rolls behind the bar. 9/10 

7.TOILETS : Clean and basic in the bar,the ones in the ground were locked (trees at the far end for last resort) 6/10 

8.PROGRAMME : £1.50 poor effort this,with the writing inside very small. 4/10 

9.CLUB SHOP : Operated out of a cabin,but it was well stocked from what I could see 7/10. 

10.MAN OF THE MATCH : So hard to call,but will give it to Clint Gooding 9/10 

11.THE LOCALS : Only really made a noise when the second penalty was saved,generally though very friendly.7/10 

12.REFEREE : Mr Croft,had in my opinion an excellent game,spotting both penalties and had a sense of humour (I shouted out 9/10 ref,and he said is that all) 

13.PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS : The Result and Tony Rouse’s face when we were 4 up and I said can we sing ‘were s**t and we know we are, Picture. 

14.THE PHIL TAYLOR AWARD : Danny Tipple Senior at Darts…Bandit!!!
