I wasn’t sure whether to go to this game after recent performances, but I am glad I did even if Liverpool's success against United had put me in a good mood (and even if I sat in the car listening to the game not knowing that SKY was showing in the club house!). This was a much better outing from the Oystermen. It may sound like a cliché, but this was a game of two halves and in the second, there really was only one team in it, and that was Whitstable.

 

Seags lined up with a 4-4-2 forma...

Absolutely atrocious conditions and I think I'm right in saying that most of us were a little surprised the game was not called off at some point. But fair play to the referee who let it continue despite the puddles. It was bad enough walking from one end to the other, so credit to the players who stuck to the task in hand.
