After Whitstable's performance against Dover at home last Saturday, confidence should have been running high. Alas, the footballing display did not evidence any such confidence at Thamesmead Town in this FA cup qualifier. Whitstable started reasonably brightly but Mead took control of the game from early on. When Josh Maine scored on 30 minutes it was against the run of play albeit well-deserved personally for Josh given all the hard work he had been putting in.
